The Thai Boxing Championship in Odesa is currently underway, showcasing young athletes from 15 different regions of Ukraine, with participation exceeding 260 competitors.
One of the highlights of the event is the traditional Wai Kru dance, which expresses respect for coaches, parents, and the martial art itself.
Honorable President of the National Thai Boxing Federation and Mayor of Odesa, Hennadii Trukhanov, addressed the young athletes:
«You are already champions because you have chosen the path of strength, resilience, and dignity over easier options. Keep training diligently, and your results will speak for themselves. It is people like you who are building a strong Ukraine».
The championship will continue for several days, with many exciting matches still to come.
The winners of the national selection will represent Ukraine at the World Championship in September and participate in other international tournaments.
