On September 12-13, 2025, the 30th basketball tournament honoring the memory of the distinguished Ukrainian coach Yosyp Yakovych Keselman took place in Odessa at the Specialized Children and Youth Olympic Reserve Sports School named after Litvak B.D.
Five teams from southern Ukraine participated in the event. This year, the classic basketball tournament featured teams like «Crazy Jellyfish», «Wild Shrimp», and «Swallows» from the SDYUSSHOR named after Boris Litvak, SDYUSSHOR No. 4 from Mykolaiv, as well as the local team from the Children’s Basketball Club «YUG Basket».
The championship title was claimed by the «Jellyfish» team from SDYUSSHOR named after Boris Litvak (coach – Yulia Hladchenko).
The tournament continued on September 14 in a 3x3 format. At the Starobazarny Square, the girls participated in the open 21st Cup of the Odessa Regional Basketball Federation, dedicated to the Day of Physical Culture and Sports, in the U-15 category.
The teams competing in the 5x5 format were joined by opponents from Izmail, Tatarbunary, and Chornomorsk, totaling 9 teams.
The victory in this tournament was celebrated by the girls from the Hot wheels Italy team, who also represented the hosts of the tournament – SDYUSSHOR named after B. Litvak.
The tournament was organized by the Charity Fund for the Support and Development of Children’s and Women’s Basketball named after I.Ya. Keselman with the support of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Odessa City Council, the Odessa Regional Basketball Federation, the Odessa City Basketball Federation, SDYUSSHOR named after Litvak B.D. and the pharmaceutical company «InterChem».
