The Mayor of Odesa, Gennady Trukhanov, convened an important meeting with leaders from critical service sectors including heating, water, gas, and electricity supply. The main focus of the meeting was to review the city's readiness for the upcoming winter season.
According to the reports from company heads, the preparations are nearing completion, with all heating plants ready for operation and final regulatory tasks ongoing.
Currently, 11 cogeneration units have been installed and are in the process of being connected. By the end of the year, six additional units are expected to be delivered as per the schedule agreed upon with international partners.
Educational and medical institutions have been equipped with alternative energy sources.
DTEK has established an emergency stock of materials and a clear action plan in case of potential attacks on the energy infrastructure.
Representatives from Odesa Gas confirmed that there is enough gas supply to ensure a stable heating season.
«Another challenging winter lies ahead. We all understand the conditions in which we will have to face it. But we have already proven that we can endure!» - emphasized the mayor of Odesa.
The city administration continues to work on strengthening Odesa's energy resilience and calls on residents to support one another and be ready to act cohesively in the face of challenges.
