The municipal enterprise «Specialized Installation and Operational Unit» has summarized the results of the bike path implementation this season along the Odesa coastline.
The newly established two-way bike path stretching from the 11th to the 16th station of the Great Fountain provides a convenient route for cyclists traveling from the city center to the beach.
«This bike path creates safe conditions for getting around the city. We see a growing demand for it, so at the mayor's request, we plan to expand the network of cycling routes,» stated Pavlo Vugelman, Deputy Mayor of Odesa.
The president of the cycling club «Arcadia» also highlighted the positive changes in infrastructure.
«This bike path has become the best in the city. Since its opening, we have noticed a significant increase in the number of cyclists. People are actively using the new markings, which is encouraging, as we witness the growth of cycling sports in Odesa,» said Viktoria Bondarenko.
The city authorities plan to further enhance the cycling infrastructure, including connecting residential areas through new bike routes.
