The digital accounting system for military personnel, called "Impulse", will serve as a crucial foundation for the introduction of new services and the enhancement of IT products in the defense sector. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
According to officials from the defense ministry, military personnel will be able to view their military credentials, receive electronic leave requests, track leave days and service length, as well as manage weapons and property records.
Currently, the "Impulse" system is being deployed in Airborne Forces units, optimizing the operations of personnel services and commanders. The main functions of the system include:
- For personnel services – automation of routine tasks, rapid generation of orders, certificates, and reports without manual data entry.
- For the "formation" – a single military card that records all service events, ensuring consistency of information about the unit.
- For commanders – analytics on unit staffing and readiness, available instantly upon request.
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the system operates within a closed and secure framework. Access to information is role-based and tiered, with all user actions being recorded.
The system was developed by the Center for Scaling Technological Solutions of the Armed Forces, staffed by IT specialists with civilian experience in digital product development. The deployment in the military is supported by units of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Recall that at the end of September, Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov announced the deployment of the digital military accounting system "Impulse" in the Defense Forces. In June 2025, it was reported that the "Impulse" system was being tested in over 20 military units.
