The Israeli-American company Wiz, specializing in cloud security, is beginning its operations in Ukraine. According to Forbes Ukraine, Softico has become the official representative of Wiz in the Ukrainian market, focusing on information security and IT distribution.
Wiz is regarded as a leader in the Cloud Native Application Protection Platform sector. Its solutions enable companies to ensure the safety of their cloud environments without the need for large DevSecOps teams.
Unlike traditional systems, Wiz operates without agents and complex integrations, providing transparency in identifying risks and relationships between users and assets. The platform supports AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes, complies with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR standards, and easily integrates with CI/CD processes.
According to Andy Ritchie, head of WW Partners at Wiz, the company aims to help businesses safely implement cloud technologies and artificial intelligence. "The cloud and AI unlock tremendous potential for innovation. Wiz allows organizations to leverage these technologies without additional risks," he emphasized.
Softico, representing Wiz in Ukraine, will be responsible for localization, consulting, and customer support for those transitioning to the cloud security model. Alexander Butusov, head of the Information Security Department at Softico, stated that there is a growing interest in CNAPP solutions in Ukraine, which combine scalability and ease of implementation.
Note: Wiz is among the fastest-growing startups globally due to high demand for its services as businesses actively shift operations to the cloud. According to the company, nearly half of the world's top 100 companies, including BMW, Salesforce, Morgan Stanley, Shell, eBay, and AstraZeneca, utilize its services. In 2024, Wiz's revenue reached $500 million, and co-founder Roy Reznik mentioned that Wiz aims to double this figure by 2025.
Moreover, it is noted that since the full-scale war began, Ukrainian businesses have been rapidly transitioning to cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. According to the IT Ukraine Association, the cloud security market in Ukraine has tripled during this time and may further grow by 226% by 2029, reaching $3.78 million. The most active adopters of cloud solutions are companies from the fintech, retail, and public sectors.
As a reminder, in March 2025, Google announced its largest acquisition, signing a deal to purchase Wiz for $32 billion. Following this, Wiz will become part of the Google Cloud division. Recently, this deal successfully passed scrutiny from the antitrust division of the U.S. Department of Justice. Google stated that the approval process is ongoing in other countries. The transaction is expected to be completed in 2026, pending standard closing conditions.
