On October 9, 2024, following extensive renovations, the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center» officially reopened the well located on Krymsky Boulevard.

Construction of this well started back in 2002, and now it serves a large population in the Peresyp district of Odessa. It provides approximately 12-14 cubic meters of water daily, operating from 08:00 to 20:00.

The well had been closed for renovations since December 1, 2023.

In early March, to ensure residents had access to free drinking water, a temporary water distribution point was set up outside the well, which continued operating until October 8.

According to the «Service Center», during the renovation, an artesian well was drilled, modern water treatment equipment was installed, and a new pipeline was laid from the well to the facility. The specialists also conducted testing of the system under standard and alternative power supply conditions.

During a meeting at the Peresyp District Administration, local residents positively assessed the initiative to build another well in the area, specifically in the park near the «Zoryany» cinema. Construction has already begun.

This new well will not only provide clean drinking water but will also serve as an alternative water supply source in emergency situations during martial law.
