On May 20, 2025, an international conference titled «Odesa Talks About Autism» commenced in Odesa, gathering leading specialists and experts from the UK, Germany, the USA, and Ukraine.
The event was dedicated to addressing pressing issues related to autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and ways to effectively socially integrate children with special educational needs.
Conference participants shared experiences, discussed modern approaches to rehabilitation, education, and support for children with autism, and formed new professional partnerships to create an inclusive society.
The Odesa City Council is already implementing several initiatives to support individuals with ASD and their families. However, the demand for such services is growing, making it the city's task to continually improve the support system and expand the range of assistance.
During the event, honorary certificates and awards were presented on behalf of the Mayor of Odesa to specialists working daily in the field of social adaptation and rehabilitation of children with autism.
