At the Odesa port, with the participation of specialists from the State Enterprise “AMPU”, the implementation of the freight transport management module called DocPort has commenced. This system allows for advance processing of passes for drivers and sending them in a convenient format — directly to a messenger. Any device with internet access, such as a phone, tablet, or laptop, is needed for this.
The main goal of DocPort is to reduce queues at the port entrance, minimize truck downtime, stabilize vehicle traffic, and enhance cargo handling efficiency. The system allows storing data about cargoes, fleet management, preparing entry documents, controlling queues, and quickly responding to emergency situations — for instance, in case of vehicle breakdowns. Furthermore, using DocPort helps minimize paper use and streamline bureaucratic procedures during entry checks.
«Today, in wartime conditions and with a high degree of responsibility, we must ensure speed and maximum manageability of all logistics processes. DocPort allows us to minimize risks and improve service quality for all market participants. We are consistently scaling this solution in key seaports of Ukraine: after Reni, Izmail, and Chornomorsk, the logical step is Odesa — one of the most important logistics centers in the country. We are confident that digital solutions must become the standard in the operation of the entire port system,» stated the Head of State Enterprise “AMPU” Oleksandr Semyrha.
DocPort operates through a “measured entry” mechanism: drivers wait at specialized sites where they can activate their passes. This ensures that only those vehicles that are ready for entry receive active passes to the port. All information is stored in a single database, so a driver and vehicle need to be registered only once — this data will be accessible in all ports connected to the system (subject to contracts).
The system has been fully developed by specialists from State Enterprise “AMPU”, and it is free for all market participants and open for connection by other companies involved in cargo processing.
«We are building infrastructure that meets real challenges — military, economic, logistics. Creating digital tools like DocPort is an investment in the future competitiveness of Ukrainian ports, logistics effectiveness, and process transparency,» emphasized Oleksandr Semyrha.
