On October 16, 2025, a workshop titled “Mental Health — A Key to a Happy Life” was held in Odesa. The event was organized with the support of the Odesa City Council's Department of Health and the Odesa Regional Family Medicine Association, in celebration of World Mental Health Day.
This year, over 35,000 services related to mental health and psychological support have been provided in Odesa's medical institutions for adults, children, internally displaced persons, and military personnel.
There are 16 psychological counseling offices operating in Odesa. Integrated response centers have been established in the Kyiv and Peresyp districts based on Primary Health Care Centers. These centers are staffed by professionals who provide support to individuals in crisis, including those affected by the war, victims of gender-based violence, and internally displaced persons.
Notably, the Mental Health Center established at City Clinical Hospital No. 10 has become a vital hub for specialized assistance, offering not only psychological consultations but also medical and psychiatric support, rehabilitation services, and psychotherapy programs.
Another Mental Health Center will soon open at Cluster Hospital No. 1, as part of a Memorandum of Cooperation with the French Development Agency (AFD). Currently, renovation works are underway at the Jewish Hospital building.
Psychological assistance in Odesa's medical facilities is provided free of charge under the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program “How Are You?”. Anyone interested can reach out to qualified specialists for psychological support.
The City Department of Health pays special attention to the mental well-being of healthcare workers, organizing training sessions on burnout prevention and providing opportunities for individual consultations and support groups.
