Workers from the City Green Trust have initiated the planting of summer flowers. The floral arrangements will traditionally include salvia, geraniums, begonias, petunias, ageratum, tagetes, and chlorophytum.

The first summer flowers have already adorned parts of the Stock Exchange Square and flower beds near the Primorsky District Administration, replacing the spring flowers. A total of 350,000 summer flowers are planned to be planted this year.

According to representatives of the City Green Trust, summer flowers will be planted in all city districts, replacing the spring bloomers that have already faded.

Today, greenkeepers have also planted 72 bushes in Odessa.
Perennial plants such as junipers, hibiscuses, and broom are being planted with a closed root system to enhance their adaptation to urban environments.

The young plants have beautified the median strip on Nebesnoi Sotni Avenue and Prince Yaroslav the Wise Avenue at the corner of Nebesnoi Sotni Avenue.

All floral seedlings (summer and spring) and flowers for vertical landscaping (100-150 hanging pots) are grown in their greenhouses at the «Rose» section. Annually, around 1 million plants (200-250 thousand spring bloomers, 250 thousand potted flowering plants, and about 500 thousand other seedlings) and about 11 thousand ornamental trees are cultivated here.

Each year, greenkeepers plant approximately 40 thousand perennial plants (chrysanthemums, miscanthus, yuccas, hydrangeas, irises, euonymus, etc.), sourced from the enterprise's greenhouses.
Starting in September, preparations for the next year's greenhouse planting begin. The «Rose» section spans 5 hectares of land and includes: a 4,000 sq. m greenhouse complex, a 2,000 sq. m nursery, and a utility yard. This facility is managed by 29 greenkeepers and 3 engineering and technical staff.
Traditionally, the first spring flowers (daisies, violas, forget-me-nots, and selene) beautify Odessa in early April. Later, they are replaced by summer flowers: salvias, petunias, primroses, tagetes, and ageratum.
The City Green Trust maintains over 547.71 hectares of land, including 16 parks, 79 squares, 7 boulevards, and 122 other green zones.
