Odesa is actively preparing for the summer season. This year, the city plans to open twice as many beaches for vacationers compared to last year.
The head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleg Kiper, announced this during a national telethon.
Last year, around 20 beaches were opened, and this season we plan to open about 48, — he stated.
According to Kiper, the city is strengthening safety measures, especially in crowded places. Currently, Odesa has equipped 2,660 shelters.
All major gathering places are provided with shelters. The main thing is that people actually use them, — he emphasized.
He also discussed the situation in the ports and the operation of the grain corridor. Since the start of this corridor, around 5,000 vessels have entered and exited the ports of Odesa.
We have restored the export volumes that existed before the war. Our ports now account for over half of the country’s exports, — Kiper highlighted.
Additionally, he commented on the unique inclusive beach in Ukraine located in Odesa. Despite some disputes, the beach will definitely operate this season.
We will help them resolve any issues if they arise, — added Kiper.
It is worth noting that Odesa is the only seaside resort in Ukraine that is gradually restoring the opportunity for vacationing on the coastline amid the war by establishing safe zones.
