A team of Canadian specialists visited a unit in the Odesa region, including Duane Breith, an expert in chemical and radiological protection from the rescue service, and Vitaliy Milentiev, a strategic advisor from Firefighter Aid Ukraine.

The guests had the opportunity to learn about the operations of our unit, which specializes in responding to emergencies related to chemical contamination. They toured the chemical-radiometric laboratory, examined modern equipment, protective suits, harmful substance detectors, respiratory protection systems, and other essential tools used daily by our chemists.

The meeting concluded in a friendly atmosphere, with discussions about the challenges faced by rescue chemists in Canada and Ukraine, sharing practical stories, and exchanging memorable gifts from our foreign colleagues.

We thank our Canadian friends for their visit, genuine interest, and willingness to share experiences!
