In Odesa, on the shore of the Black Sea, a new inclusive multi-sports ground has been launched.
This space, located at Dolphin Beach, is part of the ongoing development of the sports infrastructure along the Health Trail.
From the very first moments of its opening, various sporting events took place here. On the upper level, a warm-up session preceded a boxing match, along with karate workshops and strength training. The middle area turned into a hub for samba, table tennis, and wushu. On the lower level, veterans and individuals with disabilities tested inclusive exercise equipment and participated in an adaptive Muay Thai workshop led by world champion Vasyl Sorokin.
The opening ceremony was attended by Odesa's mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov, local government officials, representatives from veterans' organizations, sports federations, patrons, and youth.
The mayor emphasized the importance of accessible sports infrastructure that inspires the community towards a healthy lifestyle and unites city residents even in challenging times. He noted that the opening of this facility is a result of fruitful collaboration between the authorities, businesses, and the active community of Odesa.
«This space has been created thanks to those who seek no fame but are confidently changing the city. It has been designed to meet all standards and is accessible to everyone: residents, visitors, people with disabilities, families with children, and of course, veterans who need physical activity, rehabilitation, and support», Hennadiy Trukhanov stated.
The inclusive sports facility is equipped with 12 modern exercise machines, a boxing ring, a crossfit area, a gymnastics complex, rehabilitation trainers, table tennis tables, and everything necessary for full and comfortable sports activities.
