Students training to become police officers were given a unique opportunity to dive into the world of forensic science and learn practical skills from experienced police professionals.
The event took place at the training center of the Odessa Police Academy, where cadets had the chance to familiarize themselves with the fundamentals of law enforcement in various situations.
Forensic specialists from the Main Directorate of National Police in Odessa Region, including Tetiana Skyrtenko, Natalia Ryback, and Pavlo Apalkov, shared their knowledge and practical experience with the cadets of the investigative department training faculty.
The police officers not only discussed the specifics of their profession but also demonstrated the crucial role of experts during crime investigations. At a specially prepared location, the students observed the process of searching for and documenting crime evidence, as well as collecting and correctly packaging these pieces of evidence.
During the event, cadets had the chance to try on protective suits used by police officers and personally filled out fingerprint cards while collecting biological traces.
The event unfolded in a warm and dynamic atmosphere, and the best reward for the organizers was the genuine interest and engagement from the youth.
At the end of the meeting, the forensic experts wished the cadets self-belief, resilience, and professional growth.
