Nearly 1500 municipal workers are actively engaged in restoring the streets of Odesa. Cleanup efforts following the severe weather on September 4-5 are ongoing.
As of the morning of September 6, it has been reported that 40 trees and large branches have fallen in Odesa. Additional information continues to come in.
Greenery specialists from the «City Green Trust» and «Housing and Communal Services» are sequentially cutting and removing fallen trees and branches. First priority is given to trees that obstruct traffic or access to important social facilities.
Experts from the «City Roads» department are engaged in cleaning the grates of storm drains, sewer wells, and collectors. They are washing and removing sand and dirt washed onto the streets by rainwater, both manually and with special equipment.
Moreover, due to the severe weather, there have been reports of street lighting network outages at 30 addresses. Specialists from «Odesa City Light» are working to restore these networks.
