Independence Day — it is not merely a date on the calendar, but our pain, our pride, and our strength.
We are well aware of the price of independence. It is every life sacrificed for freedom. It is the soldiers who have held their positions for three years. It is the doctors saving lives in hospitals without the luxury of fatigue. It is the teachers who continue to educate children despite the war. It is all of us — those who defend our city, our nation, and our future.
The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, emphasized:
"Odesa is Ukrainian. And it entered history as such, remains so today, and will always be."
We witness pain and loss, but also strength, dignity, and resilience. I take pride in the fact that in every yard, in every family, in every heart, there exists one thing — love for Ukraine.
Independence is not a gift. It is our shared duty and our collective victory.
Glory to Ukraine!"
