The inspection of leased beaches in the Kyiv district of Odesa has been completed. A working group, established by the mayor's directive, conducted a thorough assessment of beach areas to ensure compliance with operational rules, sanitary conditions, and free access for the public.
The group included representatives from the city government, the Barrier-Free Council, and veteran organizations.
During the inspection, key requirements were checked:
- at least 30% of leased area must be available for public use;
- no temporary structures on the sand;
- compliance with sanitary norms;
- ensuring unobstructed passage along the water's edge and between beach sections.
The working group found several violations: the placement of sun loungers directly by the water, obstructing passage, as well as an instance of unauthorized trading. This case was recorded by the police, and a report was filed.
Recommendations for improving accessibility have also been provided to the lessees.
A comprehensive report with conclusions and suggestions for the upcoming recreational season will be prepared based on the inspection results.
The next step will involve inspecting the beaches in the Primorsky district of Odesa.
