The Hydrometeorological Center of the Black and Azov Seas has issued a warning to the Odesa city council.

Warning about dangerous meteorological phenomena of level I (yellow) hazard

On October 8th, Odesa is expecting northeast winds at 15-20 m/s, with significant rainfall expected in the morning and afternoon.

The Odesa city council reminds residents and visitors to monitor weather changes closely, remain vigilant, and limit travel during adverse weather, especially for the elderly, children, and pregnant women. It is advised to move carefully under trees due to the risk of falling branches and cables from strong winds and rain.

Please do not leave vehicles under trees, power lines, or on stormwater grates.

The risk of being in the beach area is extremely high. Due to the storm in the Black Sea, there is an increased mine hazard. There is a high probability of sea mines breaking loose from their anchors and drifting ashore, as well as the risk of uncontrolled detonations, especially in stormy weather. Should you encounter a sea mine or any similar objects, do not touch them and immediately report to 102.
