Officers from the second police station of the Odesa district have identified a 41-year-old resident of the Usatove community engaged in illegal activities. At the end of January this year, law enforcement documented the sale of amphetamines, which are restricted. The suspect was detained while selling a package containing the «product» on the street near his residence.
This was reported by the police.
As material evidence, the police also seized cash obtained from the sale of the «product», and during a sanctioned search of his property, they found another package with an unknown substance, equipment for packaging drugs, and other items of interest to the investigation. All seized substances have been sent for forensic examination.
According to Elena Ditsul, the senior investigator of the second police station of the Odesa district police, the suspect was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and was informed of the suspicion of illegal purchase, storage for sale, and illegal sale of a psychotropic substance. Under part 1 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the man faces a prison sentence of up to eight years. During the investigation, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention with the right to bail. The investigation is ongoing under the procedural guidance of the Bilayaivka District Prosecutor's Office. Efforts are being made to identify individuals involved in drug trafficking.
