A man was detained by law enforcement for organizing the transportation of six individuals to the unrecognized Transnistria. He has been charged, and the court has imposed a preventive measure. His actions could lead to a lengthy prison sentence, alongside losing the right to engage in certain activities and asset confiscation.

This was reported by the police.

Officers from the patrol police stopped a «KIA Sorento» during routine patrols, driven by a 51-year-old man from a local conscription and social support center. Six young men aged between 25 and 30 from various regions of Ukraine were inside the vehicle.

Upon arrival, investigators discovered that the driver had organized the illegal transportation of conscript-aged Ukrainians to the self-proclaimed Transnistrian Moldovan Republic. His services ranged from five to eight thousand dollars, depending on the clients' financial capabilities. The suspect acted in collusion with an unidentified person who found clients for him.

Authorities seized the vehicle, detained the driver, and directed the passengers for checks to the appropriate agencies.

Gathering sufficient evidence, investigators charged him under part 3 of article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – organizing illegal transportation of individuals across the state border. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to nine years, along with deprivation of the right to engage in certain activities and asset confiscation.

The court decided on custody with the possibility of bail set at 240,000 hryvnias, which the accused did not utilize.

Law enforcement is identifying all individuals involved in this crime. The investigation continues under the supervision of the specialized military prosecutor's office in the Southern region.
