Odesa is home to 17 water wells with depths ranging from 80 to 120 meters. All wells are managed by the municipal enterprise «Service Center». The water from these wells is freely accessible to everyone.
Every day, the staff of the enterprise starts their shift by preparing the equipment for supplying drinking water to the residents. They also tidy up the areas surrounding the wells and the water distribution zones.
The municipal workers perform the following tasks:
- disinfecting the water dispensing taps;
- sanitary cleaning of the water distribution zones;
- cleaning the adjacent areas;
- systematic cleaning of the roofs of the water well buildings from fallen leaves and debris.

According to the agreement with the State Institution «Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine», the quality analysis of the artesian water is conducted monthly.
