In Odesa, the modernization of municipal enterprise equipment for winter road maintenance is ongoing. This year, the 'City Roads' enterprise has enhanced its fleet with four new PRONAR SPT40 sand spreaders.

This machinery is designed for treating the city's street network with reagents during winter and is used with vehicles that have a payload capacity of over 10 tons.

The new PRONAR SPT40 sand spreaders feature a hopper capacity adjustment system, which allows for increased treatment volumes. Parameters monitoring and operation control, as well as brine activation, are performed from the vehicle's cabin via a display panel.

The sand spreaders operate on a two-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine and are started via a control panel.
The spreader system components are made of stainless steel, ensuring a long service life in highly corrosive conditions.

Compared to the outdated equipment also used by the enterprise, the new models allow for precise adjustment of spreading density, program changes, and feature a wider spreading width, along with a stainless steel spreading disc.

In total, the enterprise has 61 units of winter maintenance equipment, including the new additions.

Most of the technical park's winter maintenance equipment has been in use for over 10 years, although the recommended lifespan for such equipment is 5 years.

Specialists at the municipal enterprise maintain the satisfactory technical condition of the equipment on their own. Currently, the equipment is being prepared for winter operations.
