On November 27, 2024, Odesa Deputy Mayor Pavlo Vugelman held a working meeting with Audrey Lecomte, head of the UNICEF office in Ukraine.
During the meeting, the project «Family Support - Our Priority: Transforming Child Care in Odesa and Mykolaiv Regions» was presented, implemented in partnership with the Odesa city council.
The project aims to promote family-based care and create conditions that allow children to stay with their families.
Special attention is given to integrated services that provide support not only to children but also to their families in difficult circumstances.
«We are grateful to our UNICEF partners for this significant project, which will help create new opportunities for supporting families in the region. Together, we are working to ensure every child has the right to grow up in a loving family,» said Pavlo Vugelman.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the establishment of a working group to coordinate the implementation of the project.
The project's implementation is expected to be an important step towards strengthening family resilience and ensuring the well-being of children in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.
