Odesa hosted a training session by the UNDP team focused on the implementation of infrastructure initiatives within the framework of Ukraine's recovery program.

Over two days, representatives from 15 local communities across six regions engaged openly with the UNDP team, receiving advice and support for effectively executing projects in their areas.

The Mayor of Odesa, Gennadiy Trukhanov, welcomed the organizers and participants, expressing gratitude for the collaborative experience and ongoing support for new projects.

"Our collaboration began in 2020. I insisted that the city departments demonstrate our capacity and transparency. Now we have 12 projects totaling over 813 million hryvnias, which we hope to complete by 2025," shared Gennadiy Trukhanov.

In Odesa, projects include the renovation of educational and healthcare facilities. The reconstruction of School No. 41 and the polyclinic of City Hospital No. 8 has been completed, with three more schools nearing completion.

Plans also include major repairs of two schools, a maternity hospital, and sections of the infectious disease hospital and Hospital No. 1.

Project implementation occurs under co-financing conditions, with community budgets covering 20% of costs.
