The Mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, met with a French delegation led by the president of the Architecture et Maîtres d'Ouvrage Association and head of the Parisian architectural firm Martin Duplantier Architectes, Mr. Martin Duplantier.
During the meeting, the parties discussed projects that the architectural firm and the Association could assist with, particularly in the fields of healthcare, education, and cultural heritage.
"France has always been a loyal friend to Odessa, and we are committed to supporting Ukraine during the war while seeking further partnerships and investments in the city. Today, we are exploring restoration projects," said Mr. Duplantier.
Gennady Trukhanov expressed gratitude for the attention shown to the city, emphasizing that caring for children and creating conditions for their development is a top priority for Odessa.
"Unfortunately, the number of children requiring special attention is increasing. Therefore, we need to establish a facility where children with disabilities and special educational needs can receive medical and rehabilitation assistance as well as education. Our team of specialists in the education and healthcare sectors has developed relevant proposals outlined in the "Swallow" project," the mayor stated.
Mr. Duplantier expressed confidence that, in collaboration with the French Government and various European Union institutions, grant programs would be identified to implement this crucial project.
