As part of the initiative «Donor Odessa», members of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine's Marine Guard participated in a collective blood donation.
The collaboration between marine border guards and volunteers aims to save countless lives, which is critically important during these times when the demand for blood donations remains high due to the ongoing war.
«We understand how essential it is to have blood reserves. In wartime, this is an invaluable resource that can save the lives of our comrades, civilian victims, and anyone in urgent need of medical assistance,» say the border guards involved in replenishing the city's blood bank.
This is not the first time the marine border guards have participated in such initiatives - they believe that assistance should be ongoing and not just a one-time effort.
Today, blood donation serves as another line of defense for Ukraine.
The event was held as part of the city charity project «Weeks of Good Deeds».
The photographs were taken by Boris Buchman, an honorary donor.

The «Donor Odessa» project has been actively attracting blood donors for local medical facilities since the onset of the full-scale war and conducting educational and cultural events to promote blood donation. Over this period, more than 12,000 blood donations have been made, saving thousands of lives.
It is crucial today for everyone who is eligible to donate blood to participate.
