On April 29, 2025, under the initiative of the Odessa City Council, an inspection of the Black Sea gully was conducted, stretching from the Old Lustdorf Road to the «Chornomorka» beach.
The commission included representatives from the Department of Ecology, the Kyiv District Administration, and various organizations responsible for urban maintenance.
During the inspection, unauthorized discharges of domestic sewage from certain private properties directly into the Black Sea gully were discovered. However, there were no records of these discharges reaching the sea at the «Chornomorka» beach.
As a result of the inspection, relevant authorities were instructed to promptly eliminate the identified illegal sewage discharges and take measures to hold the responsible parties accountable.
A further check of other sections of the Black Sea gully will also be conducted to prevent potential unauthorized wastewater discharges.
