The new academic year has commenced in Odessa's educational institutions, starting on September 2, coinciding with the city's day.
A modern teacher's primary role is to create a comfortable environment, be present for students, provide support during challenging times, and instill a sense of safety and confidence for quality learning.
The first lesson titled “Vincit qui meminit (He who remembers, wins)” was dedicated to honoring the memory of Ukraine's defenders who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of our nation.
“May our nights be peaceful, and our dawns be joyful… May all those who miss Odessa return home. May God protect every child, every family, and every defender. May our warriors remain strong, and may we honor those who enabled us to learn and live in peace. This has the highest value – thousands of lives, thousands of smiles we must remember. We are starting anew, and that is already a great happiness,” stated Olena Buinevych, the director of the Department of Education and Science of the Odessa City Council.
