In southern Ukraine, the Association of Innovative and Digital Education (AIDE), with the support of UNICEF, has launched 46 digital educational centers, 19 of which have been established in the Odesa region with the assistance of the Odesa Regional State Administration.

The mission of these Digital Educational Centers is to provide equal access to quality education for students who have lost the ability to attend classes in person due to the war or other circumstances.

The centers assist students in catching up on their educational losses, provide psychosocial support, and offer lessons for successful living and other engaging activities for children using modern digital tools.

Today marks another significant event! Digital Educational Centers have been opened in the Mayaki community based at the local lyceum and in the city of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi at Gymnasium No. 2.

Among those present at the opening were Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Anton Shalyhaiilo, Director of the Department of Education and Science Oleksandr Lonchak, representatives and coordinators of educational projects from UNICEF, and the Association of Innovative and Digital Education.

At DLS No. 25 (village Mayaki), guests were introduced to the technical and methodological resources of the Center, discussed its further development, and visited classes with eleventh graders aimed at filling knowledge gaps in mathematics using the Educational Loss Recovery Ecosystem powered by Artificial Intelligence.

At DLS No. 17, center coordinators presented all the services available for teachers and students regarding education and overall development.

During the opening, students showcased their work with quizzes – tests on school subjects and general knowledge as well as their play in «Minecraft Education», where children learn about life situations and how to solve them independently.

“We place great emphasis on the educational training of youth. Recently, we have significantly improved opportunities for students and their access to in-person education by creating safe and comfortable conditions. Establishing such Digital Educational Centers for schoolchildren is part of this effort. This work is made possible thanks to our partners – UNICEF and the Association of Innovative and Digital Education, for which we are truly grateful,” – noted Anton Shalyhaiilo.
