The Ukrainian government has made a decision regarding additional funding aimed at acquiring new school buses in 2025.

These funds will be allocated to 10 regions that have the most urgent need for renewing their vehicle fleets for the safe transportation of students and teachers.

This initiative is crucial for ensuring quality education for all children, regardless of their local context or security situation.

The subsidy will enable communities to purchase new buses, including those specially adapted for children with special educational needs. The acquisitions will occur under conditions of co-financing from local budgets and through the Prozorro Market, which will significantly expedite the processes.

The buses will be received by:

  • Dnipropetrovsk Region
  • Zaporizhzhia Region
  • Kirovohrad Region
  • Odesa Region
  • Sumy Region
  • Kharkiv Region
  • Khmelnytskyi Region
  • Cherkasy Region
  • Chernihiv Region

The total amount of allocated funds is 273.7 million UAH

This is part of a larger government program, under which 1.6 billion UAH is planned for the purchase of over 500 buses for communities in 2025. The priority will be given to hub schools, military lyceums, institutions accepting students from other territories, and schools that have lost transportation due to the war. It is also noteworthy that since the beginning of the year, communities have already purchased 110 buses.
