A major rehabilitation initiative is being launched at the city hospital No. 5 in Odesa, which will include the production of bionic prosthetics.
Representatives from the German organization Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe visited the new wing of the hospital, where a rehabilitation center is to be established.
«The German donor has been providing support to Odesa through the charity fund "Revival Morning" during the full-scale war. Our goal is to assist veterans,» – said Odesa Mayor's advisor Veronika Ethnarovich.
The German partners highly appreciated the Mayor's initiative and the plans for creating a southern Ukrainian rehabilitation center.
Adam McKerrow, head of Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe's office in Ukraine, expressed a desire to assist in establishing bionic prosthetics production and training Ukrainian specialists in collaboration with German prosthetists.
«A tender for the rehabilitation center's renovation has already been held, and we are grateful to our German partners for their initiative and support. I hope that soon the production of bionic prosthetics will be operational at our hospital,» – emphasized Levon Nikogosyan, head of the Health Department.
