Recently, the emergency medical team No. 701 from Podilsk received an urgent call — a woman had lost consciousness and stopped breathing. According to her husband, she had been experiencing difficulty breathing and panic beforehand. The professionals arrived within minutes. The patient was unresponsive, and there were no signs of breathing or pulse.

The team immediately began performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The monitor showed pulseless electrical activity. For 36 minutes, the medics tirelessly fought for the woman’s life.

Fortunately, their hard work paid off. Spontaneous heartbeat was restored, the patient was stabilized, given post-resuscitation support, and transported to the city hospital for further treatment.

The life of the woman was saved thanks to team No. 701, consisting of paramedics Volodymyr Pleshivyi, Oleksandr Vasyurin, and emergency medical technician Maksym Tkach.

“Their professionalism, composure, and teamwork exemplify how every second counts. Such results are a testament to the ongoing training and drills we conduct. Regular practice of resuscitation skills allows our specialists to act confidently even in the most challenging situations, where a mistake can cost a life,” said the Emergency Medical Assistance and Disaster Medicine Center of Odesa region.
