The Odessa Half Marathon attracted over 600 participants from various cities and countries.
The route featured iconic locations in Odesa, including Primorsky Boulevard, Deribasivska Street, and others.
Odesa's Mayor, Gennady Trukhanov, welcomed the runners on Sports Day, thanking the organizers and the Armed Forces of Ukraine for enabling such events.
He emphasized the significance of a healthy lifestyle, stating:
«Those who are here today are already winners!»
Among the participants were veterans and individuals with disabilities.
Advisor to the Mayor, Alexey Morozov, highlighted the ongoing development of adaptive sports in the city.
The event included:
- Children's distances: from 60 m to 1 km,
- Adult distances: 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km.
This marathon united people not only through sports but also through charity, raising funds for patients at the Odesa Superhumans Center.
