Rehabilitation services for children under three years old are free for IDP families.
Parents with internally displaced status can choose any of the 128 children's hospitals or rehabilitation centers contracted with the NHIF for rehabilitation courses.
Free rehabilitation services for IDP children
The package “Medical Rehabilitation for Infants” includes the following services:
• rehabilitation services regardless of residence;
• early intervention services at their location or via telecommunication;
• developmental assessment in five areas;
• autism spectrum disorder screening;
• consultations with other specialists;
• referrals to specialized medical facilities;
• selection of special equipment;
• assessment and adjustment of the rehabilitation plan.
Parents can receive psychological support and training on caring for their child for free.
How to access rehabilitation services for children under three
Parents should:
- obtain an electronic referral for rehabilitation from their family or attending physician;
- contact any medical facility with a contract for the “Medical Rehabilitation for Infants” package. Referrals are not required when transferring between hospitals.

- call the NHIF contact center at 16-77;
- use the online map on the NHIF website.
