This week, medical staff from the Primary Health Care Center No. 16 conducted an outreach vaccination campaign for employees of Odessa Bakery No. 4 against diphtheria and tetanus.

A total of 75 bakery workers received vaccinations for diphtheria and tetanus prevention.

The Odessa City Health Department continues its active efforts to carry out additional vaccinations against whooping cough, diphtheria, and tetanus as part of a plan initiated by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to ensure epidemic safety.

Currently, approximately 84% of children eligible for vaccinations under the additional immunization plan have been vaccinated. Vaccination against diphtheria and tetanus is necessary not only for children but also for adults who need to undergo revaccination every 10 years for sustained protection against these dangerous diseases.

During wartime, ensuring vaccination coverage for the population is a matter of national security and public health.

The City Health Department reminds the public about the option for organizing free outreach vaccinations against diphtheria and tetanus for organized groups.

Qualified medical staff conduct the outreach vaccinations, and all vaccines have quality certifications, stored and transported under proper temperature conditions.

Interested groups who wish to arrange outreach vaccinations against diphtheria and tetanus can fill out the registration form or contact the Health Department at dep.oz@omr.gov.ua or by phone:  (048) 753 14 36, (048) 753 15 75.
