The City Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Odessa features an innovative department specializing in minimally invasive and advanced surgical techniques. The renovated hospital space is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, allowing surgeons to successfully apply European medical standards.

Every week, over 40 surgeries are performed here, with 80% being minimally invasive (such as laparoscopy and thoracoscopy). Specialists conduct endoscopic surgeries on various organs, including the liver, kidneys, pancreas, thyroid, bladder, lungs, esophagus, uterus, and ovaries. Minor surgical procedures are also carried out using ultrasound navigation.

Last year, more than 5400 surgical interventions were performed, including 873 trauma surgeries, 847 gynecological procedures, 441 urological operations, 511 ENT surgeries, 311 thoracic surgeries, and 126 vascular interventions.

The advantages of minimally invasive surgery include:
- Reduced trauma: smaller incisions lead to less bleeding and pain post-surgery;
- Rapid recovery: patients typically return to their normal lives much faster than after traditional surgeries;
- Improved cosmetic results: smaller scars and reduced likelihood of complications.
