Last week, a significant blood donation drive took place in Odesa, organized by the «Donor Odesa» project in collaboration with the administration of the Children's City Clinical Hospital No. 3. The event aimed to collect blood donations for the injured defenders of Ukraine. Medical professionals from the Odesa Regional Blood Transfusion Station facilitated the mobile donations.

Over two days, staff from the children’s hospital in the Kyiv and Peresyp districts of Odesa donated blood. On the second day, employees from the Primary Health Care Center No. 5 and the Consultative Diagnostic Center No. 29 also participated in the donation drive. Approximately 50 donors contributed blood, which translates into numerous lives saved.

The demand for donor blood has remained extremely high since the onset of the full-scale war. Blood is currently vital for saving both military and civilian patients.

Any interested groups can organize mobile blood donations at their location. To do this, please follow these steps:

1. Assemble a group of 25-50 individuals willing to donate blood. Ensure potential donors do not have absolute contraindications or temporary restrictions to blood donation.
2. Coordinate a convenient date by calling 0668422387 or messaging on Telegram @donorodesa.
3. The day before blood donation, adhere to certain dietary restrictions and medication guidelines.
