Rhythmic gymnastics holds a special place among the young girls of Odesa. Coaches from the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports Schools No. 1, No. 5, and the Olympic Reserve Sports School «Chornomorets» invite girls to explore this elegant sport from an early age.
More than 330 girls are engaged in rhythmic gymnastics at these institutions, with many achieving remarkable success in various competitions.
For instance, the Odesa gymnasts showcased impressive results at the All-Ukrainian tournament «Crimson Autumn» held from October 18-20 in Odesa, in memory of coach L. V. Luk'yanchuk.
In the masters' category, Angelina Zhdanova from «Chornomorets» claimed first place, while Valeria Kyrylova and Yuliya Bondarchuk from Sports School No. 5 also emerged victorious in their respective categories.
The team from Sports School No. 5 excelled in group exercises, winning one gold and two silver medals, while the «Chornomorets» team secured another gold award.
The athletes were coached by trainers Angela Vasylenko and Yana Chupryna.
In total, over 350 athletes from Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Zaporizhia, and Odesa participated in the competition, competing across five categories.
