Workers from the Municipal Enterprise «Green City» are tirelessly improving the green areas of Odessa.
In Istanbul Park, the team is repairing and painting benches and trash bins. They have also restored the signage on the drinking water fountain.
The gardening specialists have ensured the sanitary condition of the green zones, and as summer approaches, the park will traditionally be adorned with vibrant floral patterns.
Moreover, the Odessa gardeners are actively treating boxwood hedges throughout the city to combat pests, particularly the boxwood moth.
The specialists from «Green City» are also undertaking extensive greening projects along the medians of Southern and Mykolaiv roads. Together with the «City Roads» department, they are conducting complex work to lower the soil level on Yaroslav the Wise Avenue. The work is being carried out both manually and with the help of machinery.
Younger trees continue to be planted in parks and on city streets. Local residents are also participating in the tree-planting efforts. On the central streets, trees are primarily planted in spots cleared after stump removal.
