A new initiative named «Path to IT» has been launched in Ukraine with government support.

According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 24.06.2022 №737, the rules for the implementation of the «Path to IT» program have been approved.

Grant conditions – graduates must secure employment in their new specialization within 30 days, under the following conditions:
- signing an employment contract;
- entering into a civil law contract for services;
- registering as an individual entrepreneur or conducting independent professional activity.

Who is this program for?
The program is aimed at Ukrainian citizens who:
- are in a state of downtime;
- have had their employment contract suspended;
- are on unpaid leave;
- are internally displaced persons of working age;
- registered unemployed who are entitled to social services for vocational training.

Who is not eligible for the program?
The program does not apply to individuals who:
- lack professional or higher education;
- have less than 18 months of work experience;
- already specialize in the IT field.

How to obtain a grant for IT education?
Applications for education are submitted via the "Diia Portal" after the Employment Center reviews the documents. To receive the certificate, one must:
- submit an application electronically;
- attach a resume and a confirmation from the educational institution;
- provide copies of the work record book and educational documents.

The certificate is valid for 10 working days from the date of issuance, during which the individual must sign a contract with an educational institution.

The list of educational institutions and programs will be approved by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and information about them will be published on official websites.

The goal of the program is to ensure the right to work and promote employment.
