Construction work has kicked off in Odesa for the inclusive pedestrian route titled ‘North – South’. This represents the largest project of its kind in Ukraine, part of the National initiative ‘Movement Without Barriers’.

The route stretches from Kishiniovska Street to the Administrative Services Centre on Zabolotnoho Street and encompasses several socially significant facilities.
The project involves lowering curbs, installing ramps, laying tactile tiles, and updating surfaces in accordance with state construction norms.

The work commenced symbolically on the first day of the Barrier-Free Week being observed in Ukraine.

This project is being implemented by the Barrier-Free Council with support from Odesa’s mayor, Hennadii Trukhanov.
