The building located at 24 Serednia Street in Odesa, which was damaged by a missile strike on December 29, 2023, has been fully restored and is now ready for occupancy.

The attack resulted in the destruction of key structural elements from the first to the sixth floors, including three columns and two shear walls.

Following urgent reinforcement of the structures and initial emergency measures carried out by the company 'Stikon', extensive restoration work commenced.

Ongoing geodetic monitoring prevented further damage and shifts. In the restoration process, a new reinforced concrete framework, ceilings, and walls were installed; exterior and interior walls were restored; all engineering networks, electrical panels, fire safety systems were replaced, new elevators were installed, and the area was landscaped.

Currently, all major construction works have been completed. The total funding from the city budget amounted to nearly 37 million UAH, which was allocated for emergency measures, structural restoration, and assistance to affected residents for window and door replacements.

'Today, we have our second building in the city that has been fully restored after enemy attacks. Residents almost lost hope of returning to their apartments - and now we see tears in their eyes. This building was nearly completely destroyed, but thanks to the joint efforts of the team — builders, utility services, deputies, and the Academy of Construction — we halted the destruction and restored the home. This is a significant achievement, and I am sincerely grateful to everyone who contributed,' said Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.

Residents whose apartments sustained the most damage are advised to apply for the state program 'eRestoration', where compensation for repairs of up to 350,000 UAH can be obtained. The city will also assist with the necessary documentation.

Odesa continues systematic work on the restoration of the affected housing infrastructure and support for residents.
