The UA DroneID, developed by the NGO "Aerorozvidka" in collaboration with Cossack Labs, showcases its effectiveness by reducing friendly drone casualties by 90% in combat scenarios. Since its introduction in 2023, this technology has been actively utilized on the front lines. The system operates in real-time, transmitting telemetry data, mission information, and operational outcomes, including damage confirmations. All data is integrated into combat IT systems like DELTA, which helps track friendly drones and avoid friendly fire incidents.
UA DroneID is compatible with various platforms, ranging from reconnaissance drones to surface robotic systems. Currently, over 15 manufacturers are connected to the ecosystem, with many more in the integration process.
In the Cossack Labs project, the focus is on protocol architecture and data protection. The Ministry of Digital Transformation assists with implementation, while the Ministry of Defense coordinates requirements, and "Aerorozvidka" alongside the Innovation and Defense Technology Development Center ensures integration into DELTA.
Future plans include expanding the protocol, enhancing positioning accuracy, and strengthening module security to prevent capture by adversaries.
Previously, a new drone detector "PES Sirko" was introduced, which operates in coordination with electronic warfare systems.
