The charitable organizations "Happy Paw" and "Ark-Odessa" invite everyone to an open day at the shelter on May 4th. The main goal of this event is to raise awareness about pet adoption so that more stray cats and dogs can find their new homes.

Currently, the "Ark-Odessa" shelter cares for over 800 animals. The organizers emphasize that each new animal entering the shelter adds pressure on the staff and the permanent residents due to the risk of illness and food shortages.

"Open Day is a wonderful opportunity for the whole family to spend quality time together, especially for those who have long dreamed of adopting a pet but don’t know how. ... Supporting homeless animals can be done not just financially, but also with your time and attention," the organizers state.

During the event, there will be a shelter tour, guidance on shelter rules, stories about the lives of the local cats and dogs, and "cat-dog therapy". Additionally, participants will have the chance to help the shelter and its furry residents through cleaning, feeding, walking dogs, and playing with cats.

The Open Day will take place on May 4th at 12:00 PM at the address: 1st Sorting St., 22.
