On February 5-6, 2026, the Odesa Youth Technicians Station «Amator» hosted a large workshop titled «Models of the Future». This event marked a significant step in preparing students for the city exhibition-competition ChildTechExpo – 2026.
In the creative labs of the institution, a true engineering spectacle unfolded, where young inventors, guided by experienced mentors, delved into intricate technological processes.
Students developed prototypes of modern aircraft, worked with innovative materials, and fine-tuned complex remote-controlled systems.
Test flights of gliders in the building's lobby elicited the most excitement. Each launch confirmed that these children's models are not mere toys, but technically sophisticated devices with impeccable aerodynamics.
Simultaneously, there was a section dedicated to architecture and design, where students showcased models of energy-efficient housing. In their projects, kids illustrated a deep understanding of contemporary urban challenges, integrating principles of sustainable development and «green» energy into their designs.
While adults strive for victory, the younger generation is mastering the technologies that will serve as the foundation for the development and prosperity of our nation.
