The government approved funding for 60 projects aimed at establishing shelters in educational institutions, including 6 in the Odesa region.

The majority of the funds are directed toward communities with high security risks, where the presence of shelters is critically important.

Initially, shelters will be constructed in the schools of Kodym, Lyman, Mayaki (two facilities), Vyhodyansk, and Kuialnytska communities.

The selection of projects was conducted through the electronic platform DREAM, which will also allow tracking the entire construction and reporting process.

The working group of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, led by the First Deputy Head Oleksandr Kharlov, facilitated the submission of applications from our region.

We expect the government to approve an additional 50 projects that have been agreed upon by the Ministry of Education and Science. This includes additional funding for the construction of three bomb shelters in Dobroslav, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, and Molohiv communities, as well as the inclusion of funding for a shelter for a school in Vylkivka territorial community.

A safe educational environment is not only about comfort but also about ensuring protection for every child and teacher. We continue to work towards ensuring that all educational institutions in Odesa have reliable shelters!
