On July 13, the Black Sea coast in Odessa hosted the Ukraine club championship in triathlon for veteran athletes.

The competition attracted 283 participants from various cities, including Odessa, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Bila Tserkva, Lviv, Dnipro, and more.

The swimming segment (1 km, 2 km, 4 km) took place in the coastal area - from the ‘Chayka’ beach to the yacht club, while the running segment (5 km, 10 km, 20 km) was held along the Health Trail.

In the overall standings for the absolute distance, Andriy Kushnerov from Kyiv took first place with a time of 46:13, followed by Serhiy Zvyagin (53:18), and third was local athlete Petro Vasyliev (58:09).

In the ‘long’ aquathlon (2+10 km), the winner was local athlete Vadym Maslenikov with a time of 1:13:01, while Serhiy Chernyshov from Kyiv took silver (1:14:53), and bronze went to Serhiy Yanhicher (1:16:35).

In the 'Standard' aquathlon (1+5 km), Andriy Pechenyi from Kyiv finished first (33:28), with Semen Tereshchenko also from Kyiv second (34:07), and local athlete Denys Polyakov secured bronze (35:08).

Among women in this distance, all podium positions were taken by athletes from Kyiv. The champion was Anastasia Ihnatkina, with Nadia Somina in second and Iryna Krotova in third.

The event was organized by the Odessa regional triathlon federation with the support of the Odessa city council.
