From October 20 to 25, Odesa hosted a national boxing tournament dedicated to the memory of the distinguished sports master Semen Trestin.
More than a hundred young boxers from across Ukraine participated in this event, which was revived after a six-year hiatus.
Arthur Prodan, a student of the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 8, competed in the 70 kg weight category, winning all three matches and securing first place. This victory qualifies him for the title of 'Master of Sports of Ukraine.'
Ivan Karpov, another athlete from the same sports school, earned a bronze medal in the 60 kg category and achieved the standard for a candidate master of sports of Ukraine.
The athletes were coached by experienced trainers Volodymyr Osipchuk, Dmytro Boboshko, and Ihor Hordiienko.
