An educational forum titled «Sensory Rehabilitation: Science, Movement, Harmony» was held in Odesa, organized by the Ukrainian Research Institute of Rehabilitation and Resort Therapy.
The event was supported by the municipal institution «Service Office «Veteran Hub».
The aim of the forum was to assist specialists who aid military personnel in overcoming stress, trauma, and exhaustion by restoring their connection with their bodies.
The program included presentations on modern approaches to body-sensory, sound, and art therapy, as well as workshops on canine therapy and psychophysical recovery.
Participants included psychologists from the National Guard of Ukraine, rehabilitation specialists, and experts who assist military personnel and those affected by the war on a daily basis.
«All the modern advancements presented by various specialists aim to restore emotional well-being, help overcome stress-related disorders, and facilitate adaptation to civilian life,» said leading physical therapist Svitlana Trapeznikova.
The organizers noted that the forum united science, practice, and humanity.
